Ben Mello joins DOWL’s aviation group
DOWL is excited to announce that Ben Mello has joined the firm as an aviation manager in our Redmond, Washington office.
Ben is a valuable addition to the team, bringing more than 25 years of experience with aviation/airport planning, program management, day-to-day airport management, aviation system planning, airport master planning, and environmental analysis, which he will use to help guide and grow the firm’s aviation work within Washington and the Pacific Northwest as a whole.
Ben’s dynamic career in aviation has included working directly for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), as a consultant, and in airport management. Most recently, Ben worked in the Head Quarters Division of the FAA developing national guidance, reviewing and providing input on airport development projects, and streamlining inter- and intra-agency efforts. He is also a certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives.
Ben lives in Washington with his wife, three children, and their dog, Cessna. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, reading, and watching/coaching his kids in soccer.
