DOWL COVID-19 Updates

March 27, 2020 – Similar to other states across the country, Montana Governor Steve Bullock has issued an order to stay at home, effective now through April 10th. Mayor Matherly of Fairbanks, Alaska, also has issued a shelter in place order. Our Montana and Fairbanks offices are prepared to follow this order, and staff will be working from home during the duration of the order.

March 26, 2020 – Last night, Colorado Governor Jared Polis issued an Executive Order to Shelter In Place (SIP). This order took effect at 6 a.m. today and extends to April 11. Just like our other offices that have been affected by executive orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic, DOWL will be complying with the order and has developed a plan to vacate our Colorado office until the order has been lifted.

March 24, 2020 – The City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska, joins the list of localities that have issued “shelter in place” or “hunker down” orders as a result of COVID-19. DOWL employees in our Juneau office are taking the necessary steps to work from home during this time.

March 23, 2020 – Governor Kate Brown of Oregon issued Executive Order 20-12 earlier today (3/23/20) that states “all businesses and non-profit entities in Oregon shall facilitate telework and work-at-home by employees, to the maximum extent possible. Work in offices is prohibited whenever telework and work-at-home options are available, in light of position duties, availability of teleworking equipment, and network adequacy.” There is no expiration date on this order, but DOWL intends to comply for the foreseeable future. Our Oregon offices are taking necessary measures to ensure that all of our Oregon employees can comply with the executive order, and we are confident that our business operations will not be adversely affected.

March 21, 2020 – The Mayor of Anchorage issued Emergency Order – 03 to “Hunker Down” that begins at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2020 and remains in effect until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. DOWL is complying with the letter and spirit of this directive and the physical office will be closed for the duration of the order.

Over the last few weeks, DOWL’s Information Systems group has been gearing up for staff across the company to work remotely in preparation for stay-at-home orders. DOWL’s Anchorage office staff will continue to work remotely and have the resources necessary to efficiently and effectively meet client’s needs.
