Gunnison County Courthouse

DOWL has performed geotechnical evaluations and reports for commercial and private projects in Gunnison County for the past 15 years. The Gunnison County Courthouse, located in the City of Gunnison, Colorado, is a recently completed project for which DOWL provided geotechnical engineering services as well as construction materials testing and inspection services. Geotechnical services consisted of drilling boreholes to evaluate deep subsurface soil and groundwater conditions, laboratory testing, and recommendations for design and construction of foundations, walls, slabs on grade, concrete flatwork, and asphalt paving. Construction materials testing and inspection services were performed throughout the construction phase from April 2014 through July 2015. Services consisted of subgrade soil verification, soil moisture and density testing of site fill and backfill, lab soil testing, concrete and grout field and lab testing, as well as structural steel and weld inspections, and other special inspections, upon request.
