Lowe River Dike Repair

DOWL assisted the City of Valdez, Alaska in the preparation of plans, specifications, estimate, permitting, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan documents, and construction inspection for approximately 500 feet of dike renovation along the Lowe River. The project involved the review of previous studies, scour analysis and riprap sizing, design, and collaboration with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) for the permits. DOWL prepared a diversion plan to meet the needs of ADF&G and then worked with the contractor to make revisions to accommodate their construction plans and schedule. The project was completed on budget and on schedule.
