Marana Regional Airport – Apron and Taxiway Rehab
This was a $5 million taxiway and apron pavement rehabilitation for Taxiway B and airfield parking aprons. The project included strengthening the existing taxiway and apron pavement areas to accommodate heavier aircraft traffic traversing to the general aviation airport terminal. Work also included improving the geometric design for the existing taxiways and apron to meet the new Federal Aviation Administration Design Advisory Circular. The helicopter apron redesign was also included as part of this project. The existing helicopter apron is reconfigured to accommodate additional business jet aircraft such as Gulfstream IV and V aircraft.
