Mt. Pisgah Gardens
Working with Campbell County Cemetery District on the Mt Pisgah Gardens, about two acres of the existing cemetery was re-developed into all-new multi-modal burial and memorial sections. This project included the installation of concrete paving, concrete pathways, water features, landscaping, irrigation systems, monuments, niche walls, burial estates, pump systems, three structures, four gateway structures, and other items at two locations within the cemetery. DOWL assisted in the design of these gardens, teaming with four non-local design firms including an architect, a structural engineer, an electrical engineer, and a water feature designer. DOWL represented the owner during design, coordinating closely with these firms. DOWL then led the owner through the bidding and contractor selection process. Upon selecting a contractor, DOWL participated in value engineering to modify the project and stay within the Campbell County Cemetery District’s budget and then helped to finalize a contract with the construction contractor. During construction, overall project management and construction administration was provided. The project was completed under budget and on schedule.
