North 27th Street Stormwater Master plan
DOWL was contracted by the Montana Department of Transportation to perform a master plan study to improve the drainage issues along the North 27th Street corridor. The 3000-acre study area was comprised of mainly commercial and residential development. DOWL completed field evaluations, site survey of key facilities, and developed multiple rain simulation models for both existing conditions and proposed alternatives. DOWL delivered an organized report that summarized the existing performance, 10 different alternatives, and provided a recommended alternative. The proposed alternative was presented in a phased approached to provide some flexibility for the future to work with available funds.
