Poly Drive Reconstruction and Storm Drain Design
DOWL prepared final construction plans and specifications to rehabilitate 0.8 miles of Poly Drive from 32nd Street to 38th Street. Major construction items included roadway widening, new storm drain and sanitary sewer rehabilitation, new traffic signal, updated signing, and school crossing upgrades at 32nd Street and 38th Street. The project included installation of more than 6,115 feet of storm drain pipe ranging from 12-inch PVC pipe to 36-inch RCP storm drain pipe, over 65 inlets, and installation of a 96-inch manhole at the intersection with Zimmerman trail. DOWL developed rain simulations models for both pre- and post-project conditions and work closely with the City of Billings to come up cost-effective drainage solutions that work within their budget.
