Ryan Field Security Fence and Access Control System
This Ryan Airfield project was broken into two phases: Phase 1 focused on the analysis and design of security fence improvements including upgrades to the gates, installation of new power and fiber optic communication lines to the gate controllers, new software for the security access system, and the addition of over 3,500 feet of new security fence at Ryan Airfield. Phase 2 focused on the analysis and design of three drainage crossings along the southern boundary of Ryan Airfield. DOWL coordinated with Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Highways Division on the expansion of SR 86 and box culvert extensions and drainage improvements within the ADOT right-of-way. DOWL designed conveyance onto Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) property to minimize downstream impact and damage to the perimeter fence.
