Sidney Town Pump
DOWL provided civil site design of a new truck stop along Highway 200 at the junction of Highway 23, Southwest of Sidney, Montana. This project is concurrent with a subdivision of 30-acres which included annexing this parcel into the City of Sidney city limits. The truck stop includes a 15,600-square-foot store; over 16-acres of pavement; eight diesel pumps; eight automotive pumps; a weigh scale; three approaches; an RV dump; a detached garage and dumpster enclosure; and a 242,000-cubic-foot storm retention pond. Permitting services included encroachment and approach permitting through the Montana Department of Transportation, Richland County land development permit, Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, DEQ sewer main extension, and Richland County storm water permit. Additional services included design of a half-mile force main sewer line that connected this site to the city’s sewer system.
