Southern Oregon Seismic Bridge Project
The purpose of this project is to create a seismically resilient route through southern Oregon by retrofitting 10 bridges and replacing three bridges in Jackson County, Oregon. The HB2017 legislative commitments required some bridges to be under construction in 2020. To meet these funding requirements, construction was split into three different bundles. Retrofit strategies, earthquake-resisting elements (EREs), and earthquake-resisting systems (ERSs) were evaluated on a bridge-by-bridge basis because of the different site conditions and constraints. The project work started in August 2019 with construction final in 2025.
