Wasilla Public Library

DOWL was responsible for site planning for this project which included placement of the new facility on the site, creating a pedestrian connection between the library and the nearby middle school, development of an outdoor seating area and amphitheater, and defining vehicular and pedestrian circulation on the site. In addition to site planning, the DOWL team performed a topographic survey, a geotechnical investigation, and developed landscape plans as well as a family of exterior site furnishings for the project. DOWL also provided civil engineering services that included site grading and drainage, sanitary sewer and water system design, and prepared utility and driveway permit applications with supporting documentation.
