Witch Hazel Village South Concept Plan
Working in collaboration with the City of Hillsboro and property owners within the plan area, DOWL prepared the preliminary concept plan for Witch Hazel Village South, a 150-acre site located on River Road in Washington County, Oregon. DOWL’s team prepared the preliminary master plan, led early discussions with key agency and departmental staff, completed the infrastructure studies, and developed the plan content, which was ultimately packaged and completed by the City’s long-range planning department for submittal to Metro. The site was included in Metro’s December 2018 urban growth boundary expansion decision and will ultimately provide up to an additional 800 units of housing in the South Hillsboro region.
The master plan includes research, evaluation, and report of findings for all wet utilities, transportation, and environmental impacts.
